Clay County Department of Motor Vehicle Facility Building Project
With the redevelopment of the Moorhead Center Mall, the Clay County Board of Commissioners requested that a strategic plan be developed for a future location for the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). On June 27th, 2023 the Clay County Board of Commissioners approved to move forward on a DMV facility building project based on the pre-design completed by Klein McCarthy Architects. The 10,000 square foot facility will be located at 3300 15th Ave N, Moorhead, MN 56560.
The Minnesota Department of Public Safety - Driver and Vehicle Services has expressed their interest in co-locating which will provide enhanced services to the citizens of Clay County.
