Starting Salary Range

Annual Salary:  $81,848.00 to $88,192.00 or negotiable, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

This position will be eligible for Clay County’s benefit package.

Qualifications

    • Juris Doctorate degree
    • MN Licensure - Recent law school graduates, those licensed in other jurisdictions, and February bar exam participants will be considered and are encouraged to apply
    • 1-3 years prior work-related experience is preferred
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Ability to successfully pass a background check

Duties and Essential Functions

  1. Duties may include, but are not limited to, legal representation of the State of Minnesota and/or Clay County in the prosecution of criminal felony, gross misdemeanor, and misdemeanor offenses; juvenile delinquency, petty, and traffic offenses; children in need of protection or services (CHIPS); and/or child support.
  2. Other duties as assigned by the County Attorney
