MnDOT supported Program:   COVID 19 Positive Client Transportation

Greetings:

MnDOT, Minnesota Council on Transportation Access and Minnesota Department of Health in collaboration are providing COVID 19 Positive Client Transportation for the 80 counties in Greater Minnesota.  MnDOT Office of Transit and Active Transportation was awarded $750,000 COVID 19 Relief Funds on August 18, 2020.  

On October 7, 2020 MnDOT awarded the COVID 19 Positive Client Transportation grant contract to:

Effective immediately and pending availability of providers in your area, COVID 19 Positive Client Transportation service is now up and running.

This service is for non-emergency COVID 19 Positive Client Transportation or individuals suspected to be COVID 19 positive for only medical trips for such as access to medical clinics for testing, medical treatments, and Pharmacy pickups.

The only limitation is the trip must be non-emergency and to or from medical services.  The client/passenger pays nothing, the total cost is covered by the COVID 19 Relief Funds. The trip must originate in Minnesota.

Please advise clients of local Public Health, medical clinics and hospitals or other medical providers that will be seeing COVID 19 Positive Clients for needed non-emergency transportation.
