Clay County Business Relief Programming Update

On February 2nd, 2021, the Clay County Commission unanimously approved the Clay County Business Relief Program distribution plan.  78 businesses, which met the program guidelines/criteria having been directly impacted by Executive Order 20-99, will be receiving up to $40,000 in small business relief grants. Businesses were place in 1 of 7 funding categories based on the amount of lost revenue from November 1st, 2020 to December 31st, 2020, compared to the same time frame in 2019.

An additional category was established within the Business Relief Program directed toward businesses that were new to Clay County in 2020. Because of their status, they did not have the necessary tax documents to apply for previous state grants, but were directly affected by Executive Order 20-99. These businesses received funds between $2,500 up to $25,000.

Businesses with successful applications will be receiving an email in the coming days. This email will provide the allocation amount and explain the required next steps the business will need to complete in order to receive the funds.
