NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN on the availability of a Mandatory Environmental Assessment Worksheet (EAW) for the construction of the Drayton Dam Fish Passage Mitigation Project (Project). The proposed Project would replace the existing Drayton Dam with a rock ramp dam that would provide biotic connectivity as a mitigation measure for impacts resulting from the Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Area Flood Risk Management Project. The proposed Project would extend the impact area 300 feet upstream from the existing dam, providing an incremental slope with a deeper flow down the middle to allow for fish passage while maintaining upstream water elevations. The EAW, which assesses potential environmental impacts of the project, will be available to view electronically at https://fmdiversion.gov/mitigation-plan/ and during business hours at the following location:

Moorhead-Clay County Joint Powers Authority (MCCJPA)
807 11th Street North
Moorhead, MN 56560

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that a 30-day public comment period for the EAW shall begin on May 4, 2021.

The purpose of this notice is to provide citizens the opportunity to comment on the EAW. Individuals or representatives are encouraged to submit written comments prior to 4:00 p.m. on June 4, 2021. Please submit comments to:
