Clay County Social Services is in the process of developing the Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP) Biennial Service Agreement (BSA) for grant funds for CY 2022-2023. The Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) requires counties to notify the public and seek input on the use of these funds. Clay County has chosen to inform the public of the development of this Service Agreement via the county website and social media platforms. A printed copy of the proposed plan may also be obtained upon request.
The purpose of the BSA is to provide DHS with information about services and strategies intended to meet program measures with the goal of increasing the economic stability of low income families on MFIP. The different sections of the BSA gather information about program strengths and service delivery gaps. The BSA will give a comprehensive assessment of current efforts, insight into what types of assistance are needed, and information on new strategies to better serve participants. We want to ensure that people served through MFIP are equipped to obtain and sustain gainful employment that will ultimately lead to greater self-sufficiency.
