Young people between the ages of 12 and 18 years who have committed a crime which is punishable in the adult system, as well as youth who have been sentenced by the Courts for up to 90 days.
Young people ages 11 and 18 who need emergency care, consequences, or a 30-day evaluation.
First of all, they all go to school during the day. There is also 1-on-1 and group counseling, arts and crafts class, and recreation.
The overall average stay is about 13 days. However, youth sentenced to our program by the Court spend between 30 to 90 days here, while youth waiting for Court may be placed for 1 week or 2 weeks. Non-secure detention stays are between 1 day and 30 days.
