ADA Transition Plan

As per Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Clay County is required to develop an ADA Transition plan. This plan will help the transition towards ADA compliant facilities, which includes the Clay County right-of-ways, sidewalks and buildings.

This plan identifies what is currently required of the County regarding ADA as well as existing ADA deficiencies. The proposed plan to address existing ADA deficiencies along County Highways will be spaced out over the next 20 years and is anticipated to cost the County $30,000 per year. It is also anticipated that this plan be updated every 3 to 5 years.
