There are now several options available to citizens for viewing the Board of Commissioners meetings.

All Board of Commissioners meetings are open to the public.

Broadcasts via Clay County Website

The live broadcast is available for viewing by clicking the Watch Meeting Live link in the upper right-hand corner of this page. This option is available only during an actual Board of Commissioners meeting and allows you to view the meeting in progress.

The live broadcast is also available on Facebook or on YouTube.

Replayed Broadcasts via Public Access TV

Please consult your local public access TV station for dates and times the Clay County Board of Commissioners meeting will be replayed each week.

The electronic video and audio format of the board proceedings are provided as a public service (see Public Policy) and do not constitute an official record of the Board of County Commissioners and no warranty or guarantee of any kind is provided. The minutes of the Clay County Board of Commissioners record the official acts, orders, and judgments made by the Board of County Commissioners, as required by law. The minutes are structured around the established order of business and contain a parliamentary chronology of all actions taken on each item, from introduction through to the final disposition. The official record of proceedings before the Clay County Board of Commissioners shall be the county board minutes as approved by the Clay County Board of Commissioners.

Board of Commissioners Video Public Policy

In order to make government more accessible and informative to its citizens and allow for a more participative process, Clay County will provide a live video stream of county board meetings on its website. Clay County will also provide a copy of the broadcast to cable stations throughout the county to rebroadcast at their discretion.

The video of the county board meetings is being made only for broadcast purposes. The official record of proceedings before the Clay County Board of Commissioners shall be the county board minutes as approved by the Clay County Board of Commissioners. Video Retention & DVDs

Clay County will retain videos on its YouTube page.  Archived copies will also be retained by the GIS & Communications Department.  DVD copies of the videos will be made available for a fee. Copies of DVDs cost $15.00 and contain one board meeting. To obtain a copy of a video, make your request to the GIS & Communications Department by calling 218-299-5050, emailing, or visiting the Clay County Government Center at: 3510 12th Ave S, Moorhead, MN 56560.

The Clay County Board of Commissioners will not record any public meetings or public hearings that are held anywhere other than Meeting Room A/B in the Clay County Courthouse.  Only those proceedings held in Meeting Room A/B will be recorded.
