Clay County owns several properties used for a variety of purposes. County facilities such as the Courthouse, Government Center, Resource Recovery Center, and Landfill, among others, provide specific uses and services. The County also owns several properties bought out after significant flood events in 1997 and 2009-2011. These properties are typically open to the public during daylight hours for outdoor recreation activities, including hunting, fishing, hiking and bird watching. These flood buyout properties are not developable or able to be leased, rented or sold.
