Operation Rules

Visitation

  • Parents have the right to an initial visit anytime. After that, visiting hours will apply.
  • Visiting hours are from 2:30 p.m. - 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
  • Immediate family members, including grandparents may visit, while extended family may only visit by administrative approval.
  • Visits are limited to one hour. Please call ahead to ensure a visiting room is available.

Telephone

  • Parents or residents may make one call per day.
  • Calls to parents are made collect.
  • Calls from counselors, teachers, etc. are approved by supervisory staff.
  • Calls from probation officers, attorneys, etc. are allowed anytime.
  • Calls to attorneys may be direct at no cost to the resident.

Mail

  • Residents may write/send out one letter per day with stamps provided by the WCRJC.
  • More letters may be written at the resident's own expense.

Money

  • Small amounts of money may be brought to the resident to purchase commissary items.

Clothes

  • An inventory of clothes is taken upon a resident's arrival at the WCRJC.
  • Generally 2 sets of clothes are all that are needed for their stay with us.
  • It is suggested that tennis shoes be worn.
  • Clothes are laundered by each resident whenever necessary.

Personal Hygiene

  • The WCRJC provides for all basic personal hygiene needs.

Food

  • No food or beverages are allowed to be brought in for any resident.
