Assessor
The Assessor’s Office is responsible for an equitable assessment of real and personal property by estimating the fair market value and determining the classification of each parcel in Clay County for property tax purposes.

Auditor's Office – Property Taxes, Licenses, and Elections
The Auditor's Office is responsible for tax administration for all taxing districts in Clay County and administers the issuance of auctioneer, beer and liquor licenses; the county's centralized accounting system; and the county functions of federal, state, and local elections.

Department of Motor Vehicles
Motor vehicle transactions include license plates, tabs, vehicle transfers, new vehicle and out-of-state registrations, boat, snowmobile, all-terrain, motorcycle and trailer licensing. Driver's licensing includes driver's license renewals, identification cards, instruction permits, and name and address changes.

Recorder
The Recorder’s Office is the custodian of all legal records pertaining to real estate. The Recorder’s Office is a Local Issuance Office authorized by the Minnesota Department of Health’s Office of Vital Records to issue certified birth and death records. The Recorder’s office also issues marriage licenses and certificates, registers wedding officiants, files notary commission registrations and is a repository of Military Discharge Records.

Treasurer
The Treasurer's Office is responsible for the cash management of County funds which includes monitoring cash flow. They collect all property taxes, collect and disburse other proper funds, perform escrow maintenance and conduct bank reconciliations as well as other duties as assigned.
